Fencing Day

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026.

The short version

Fencing Day has no account and no server that holds your fencing data. Everything the app keeps stays on your phone, or in your own Google Drive if you connect it. We cannot see it.

What stays on your phone

Your fencers' names and birth years, tournaments, pools, bouts, scores and videos. You can delete any of it in the app, or delete the app to remove all of it.

Pictures of pools and brackets

When you add a picture of a pool or a bracket, the app reads the names on your phone. The picture is not kept after it is read, and it is never uploaded.

Google Drive (optional)

If you connect Google Drive, the app uploads your videos and a small file with each event's bouts and scores to folders in your Drive. Fencing Day asks Google for access to only the files it creates. It cannot see or change any other file in your Drive. You can disconnect in the app, or remove access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Other fencers' names

Opponents' names appear in your bout list and in your video file names. They stay on your phone and in your own Drive. They are never sent to us.

Our website

If you join the list on fencingday.app, we keep your email address and which phone you chose, only to tell you about Fencing Day. To be removed, email hello@fencingday.app.

To stop automated sign-ups, we keep a scrambled form of your network address for up to a day, then it is deleted automatically. The website has no analytics and sets no cookies.

Children

Fencing Day is for parents. It does not create accounts and does not collect information from children.
